What Is The Value Of Wm Rogers

wonderland art / Magic world of computers ...

off many a (r) had to wonder about the last days of my emails because of my biggest problems here in Sweden was not - as for all other countries-hoppers the acclimation to a strange mentality again (oops, that are so open) - noe - but the Internet connection. This problem - so I learned - after 3 days can lead the technical lack of understanding a landlord even up to the threat of being thrown out of myself. To make it short: I have to date no solid connection (and the neighbor's unprotected network also leaves much to wish).

So I'm gone So one of my bosses so long for the nerves ("Do you want to isolate myself from the world?" / "German asylum seekers have no right to the information highway?" / "Phone home ..." (with nasal the index finger like ET-up) until he has rausgerueckt a USB modem.
In short, pithy words: small, black plug, into the USB port to enjoy 3.6 Mbit. No matter where, when, why ...

So it is now that I can sit in Gamla Stan in a cafe, eating warm apple pie with vanilla sauce, synchronized to drink 5 liters of Latte Macchiato and can write this blog entry.

last a whole man;)

Some of the Uli-email receiving-people might have wondered about the problems I was griping about during my first days here in Sweden. It wasn't the usual encounter with an - AGAIN - different mentality (this time "gosh! they are so... normal..") - nope... the biggest problem of all was internet access at my new residence. Soon I've discovered that only after 3 days in a new apartment the landlord's lack of understanding technology can lead to spontaneous expulsion of me as a tenant. To put it in a nutshell: I still do not have a fixed internet access in my apartment and will never have one (although access was my precondiion for moving in). And the neighbour's unprotected network isn't really a real smash...

This fact made me getting on peoples' nerves at work. So my boss constantly had to listen to:
"Do you want to isolate me from the rest of the world??" / "Do German asylum seekers not have the right to an information superhighway??" + an index finger like E.T. whining "skype hoooome...." until he finally came with a solution: USB-modem. --> plug into the USB port, immediately enjoy 3,6 mbit everywhere and at all times.

That's why I am now able to sit in Gamla Stan , eat warm apple pie with vanilla sauce, drink Latte Macchiat by the litre AND write this blog entry.

Finally a complete human being again.. ;)
